Job Opp: Case Manager/Employability Skills Facilitator, Career Cafe
Free Rein Associates is looking for a multi-talented person to work within our Career Café program as a Case Manager/Employability Skills Facilitator within an Employment program for People who face Multiple Barriers.
This position is a combination of Case Manager and Employability Skills Facilitator duties located in Hope, BC.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
One year Career Development Practitioner experience OR equivalent combination of education and practical experience
Some facilitation experience, specifically delivering workshops in group or one to one setting
Health care or social services background considered an asset
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in working with MS Office and ability to work in a virtual environment when needed
Proven experience developing productive, professional relationships with clients and employers
Ability to assist clients with resume & cover letter development and job search
Knowledge of current local labour market information
Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) an asset
Criminal Background check required
Duties and Responsibilities:
Case Management:
Conduct a needs assessment to assess each participant’s current capacity for employment
Support client in identifying short-, medium- and long-term goals
Develop action plans for each client identifying steps to assist in achieving goals
Provide one-to-one coaching to support client
Maintain client case notes and client files ensuring confidentiality
Provide referrals for participants to other community support services as required
Provide follow-up support as required for returning participants
Liaise with community service providers and other professionals as required
Individual and Group Based Employability Skills Facilitation:
Facilitate workshops to motivate clients to recognize and address individual barriers to employability
Provide one-on-one assistance to participants to increase awareness and access to available community resources.
Meet and screen participants to assess their needs and provide referrals
Facilitate and support participants in implementing and evaluating personal plans and goals.
Create a non-judgmental and supportive environment
Maintain record of participants, outcomes, statistics, and demographic data
Work closely with other staff to support participant success
Position is full time at 35 hours/week, Monday – Friday
$32.00/hour with benefits
