Free Rein Associates, Established 1993
Free Rein Associates has been serving Hope’s employment needs since 1993. Our company started off small, offering workshops and short programs to help people become re-employed. We have grown into a larger organization helping job seekers acquire work, gain new skills and develop new careers. We are proud of our approach that supports clients to move forward as they need to. We encourage people to own their careers, follow their passions and achieve success on their own terms.
We are often asked about how we got the name Free Rein. Here is the story:
Christine grew up on Boulder Mountain in the North Thompson Valley near Barriere, BC. When riding the range, her father instructed Christine and her siblings:
“If you ever get lost,” he said. “Give your horses a free rein and they’ll bring you home.”
These simple words stayed with Christine. And so when we formed our company, she told us this story and so it remains. We believe that when people are given a free rein and understand that the power lies within, they will find the way to where they need to go.
We have worked hard to foster great working relationships with the community, employers and clients, serving diverse peoples of all backgrounds and needs. In 2008 we collaborated with several community organizations to form the SOCIA Building to form Hope’s first Social Health Services Centre.
Free Rein continues to see clients achieve success. As a result of this work in the community we have received awards from local and industry organizations. In 2011 Free Rein Associates was the proud recipient of the BC Career Development Association’s Best Organization of the Year. The following year we won ASPECT’s Leadership Award.
It is our goal to serve you to the very best of our ability to meet your specific needs and help you to achieve your goals, be they simple and immediate or complex and long term.
